Do you have to pray and go to church?

July 8th, 2009 by DannyNelson

Question posted on Yahoo! Answers: Do you have to pray and go to church? Okay, say I fully believe and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior and try to be as good of a person as I can. Do I have to pray every day and go to church? Does it make a difference, especially when most churches are corrupt? Is there another way to worship him without, i dunno how to say it- being a groupie?

If you do believe that children are innocent in the eyes of God, wouldn’t it be reasonable to suggest that abortion doctors are winning more souls for Christ than Christian missionaries?

Question posted in Yahoo! Answers: If you do believe that children are innocent in the eyes of God, wouldn’t it be reasonable to suggest that abortion doctors are winning more souls for Christ than Christian missionaries? Why not bomb a pre-school? That would surely win a lot of souls for Christ.

Does Luke 19:27 teach that Christians should kill non-Christians?

July 7th, 2009 by DannyNelson

Question posted on Yahoo! Answers: In the book of Luke chapter 19 verse 27 Jesus says, “But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.” This seems pretty clear that Jesus would have Christians kill all non-believers. How do you explain this?

who depends on flesh for his strength
and whose heart turns away from the LORD

Why the need to be rebaptized when one joins a new church?

July 7th, 2009 by DannyNelson

Question posted on Yahoo! Answers: Why the need to be rebaptized when one joins a new church? Once is enough in my mind but where ever I look, it seems a lot of churches require you to be ‘baptized’ before joining them. Why? I was baptized as an infant in a major church. However when I briefly entertained the idea of going to a pentecostal church there was huge pressure on me to be baptized again. It just doesn’t feel right to be required to be rebaptized.

If it’s true that the Devil may quote Scripture to his own ends, then…

Question posted on Yahoo! Answers: If it is true that the Devil may quote Scripture to his own ends, then doesn’t that mean that in any theological argument, neither side can use scripture to support their case since the other side may reasonably object that they are using the scripture incorrectly?

July 7th, 2009 by DannyNelson

A friend of mine is into self-harm and when I spoke to her about it she says that the Bible only says do unto others what they would do unto you but nothing about cutting yourself. How do i reply to that? Please give references to the Bible and the translation. Thank you.

Do you think we should give money to the poor or should we tell them they should go look for a job?

July 7th, 2009 by DannyNelson

Question posted in Yahoo! Answers: Do you think we should give money to the poor or should we tell them they should go look for a job. I know times are tough but someone told me we should not give them money as this doesn’t solve their problem. But aren’t we supposed to look after the ones that can’t look after themselves?

I’m a Christian, but not really.

July 7th, 2009 by DannyNelson

Question posted on Yahoo! Answers: Okay so I am 16 and I am a ‘christian’. But recently I decided that I didn’t like the christian religion nor did I believe in HELL. I feel Hell is just something to make people scared and believe in religion so they don’t go to hell. I just believe in god (and love god) and believe that jesus is my savior. I don’t really go to church unless it is christmas or easter and sometimes I will read my teen bible. am I a bad person for changing to this or what? I mean I would NEVER tell my family because they raised me a christian and they would just assume I was an atheist (which I am NOT) So I decided to take the name tag off of me and just let myself be a believer in god and jesus. Because personally I think it is RIDICULOUS what mankind has done to religion. There are hundreds of different religions which believes in the SAME thing but they just interpret it differently. SO no more name tag- does this mean I am ‘GOING TO GO HELL’ or what? I am just really confused

Faith alone, or Faith and Acts for entry to Heaven?

July 7th, 2009 by DannyNelson

Question posted on Yahoo! Answers: Faith alone, or Faith and Acts for entry to Heaven? Is accepting Jesus as your savior and having complete faith in him good enough to get to heaven? Or do your actions need to be good/right? I know some people who are completely secure in their faith in Jesus, but are not good people (not Christlike at all). It would seem to me that your actions would matter to God and have influence on the judgment of your soul…
