Question posted on Yahoo! Answers: Am I going to hell for at one point not believing in God? At one point in my life I didn’t think God was real. Yesterday my sister left the TV on and the 700 club was on. I couldn’t find the clicker. I watched it and found out that God was real. I got down on my knees and begged for forgiveness. I confessed all my sins. I was an atheist for about 3 months and a confused person for my hole life.

    Definitely not. Jesus Christ paid for that sin on the cross for you. Yes, unbelief is a sin (Hebrews 3:12), but the good news is that Christ who knew no sin became sin on the cross so that we may become the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). Your belief in Jesus Christ has gave you a new life as Jesus Christ cleansed you from your unbelief and your sins.
