Question posted on Yahoo! Answers: What do you think is the real purpose of prayer? If God only answers prayers that will have his will done, then why do we pray? Shouldn’t we be praying for his will to be done then? Is the purpose of prayer to create a change even if it is not god’s will? Or is prayer just a source of using our own will to create a change…such as mind over matter? So what do you think is the real purpose of prayer?
